Enough

"I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never grow hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."

" I am the living bread that come down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me."

"But everyone who drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

"My food is to do the will of him who sent me."

If I really believe Jesus is who he says he is... if I've really given my life to following him... if I say I have surrendered my life to him... If I really trust that the words he spoke above are true, then why is it that he's not always enough? Even though the things I often turn to for fulfillment always leave me empty, wanting more, why do I keep trying to find meaning and fulfillment in anything other than Christ?

My prayer is for Jesus to simply be enough.
